Welcome to my website! About me: I graduated from Xavier University in 2011 with a BSc in Biology. As an undergraduate student, I participated in a research project with William Anyonge that investigated the relationship between saltatory locomotion and evolutionary modifications in limb anatomy in mammals that utilize a hopping gait, such as the kangaroo. After graduating from Xavier, I joined Josh Gross' lab at the University of Cincinnati as a technician and later a PhD student. My research investigated asymmetrical bony phenotypes within the craniofacial complex of the blind Mexican cavefish. I defended my thesis in April of 2018 and now will be shipping off to Boston to start a postdoctoral fellowship with Cliff Tabin at Harvard Medical School. Outside of the lab, I enjoy playing coed sports with my friends, kayaking, and hiking with my husband Danny and our golden retriever named Barney (pictured below).
